Yeah... actuallys thats all it is. Just don't treat yourself to something and give yourself a month of entertainment. Seems like a good deal to me.

If you smoke, it might even be a good way to quit. "Ahh hell, I can't afford both... I'll just play WoW."

I look at it this way... it's one phone call to Dominoes that I can't make per month. So WoW is entertaining me, and helping me eat better.

Galaxies? The game that was so broken they've had to fully overhaul it TWICE now? The game that is now offering refunds for the last expansion because they completely eliminated some people's professions? Yeah... great game.

not so rediculous when you see how much their paying... first off wow is 10x deeper then guild wars has close to double the players and is just so wholesome...... + you have to add the server fees for the us and europe and then money to pay the people who administrate service to game works....

Well i only really played it for 30 minutes until the NPC I had to talk too got stuck in the sky... then I realized I had to quit.

I read this entire thread and I've played guildwars 600+ hours and am getting really tired of it so I'm gonna go buy WoW when I have some free time.

what about dormat mobs in guild wars non moving and not killing?

I think you need to give it a try, when I started playing GW I thought it was nerdy.... After 2 hours my oppinion changed severely.

PC Gamer had a "free" trial subscription to WoW, so I tried it out.

It took over 2 hours to download all the patches (continually having to restart my computer after each patch).

Then, I had to enter in a credit card info. (Grrrr....)

So then I made up a character and started to play...

OMG, the graphics were so bad. So I went to click on a monster to attack. Nothing happened.

So I clicked on my attack button. "You are not in range".

So I ran up to the monster, hit my attack button, and killed it.

Where was my loot? Hidden onder yet another button I had to press.

That was it for WoW for me, 2 hours of downloading and I lasted about 30 seconds. Guild Wars interface (and graphics) have spoiled me.

so check it out man.... right click always attacks it

and then right click the corpse always loots it....

WOW!

and you dont have to restart after every patch

ALSO!

your graphic card/pc must blow because wow graphics are just as good if not better then GW...

Now that I don't know about. My graphics card is fairly dated (radeon 9600 series) but it runs Guild Wars at higher settings than it does WoW.

Well... my new setup is going to be an Athlon 64 2.4ghz with a radeon X800 256mb GPU. Whenever my wife lets me buy the parts. I was going to get them last week, but my brother got my rig working again.

Obviously, IMO, Guild Wars looks better than WoW. That's just my personal preferance.

I think they both have a distinctive graphical style. They both wanted to accomplish something different from a graphic perspective, and I think they both do it well. To say one is BETTER than the other is kind of like comparing apples to oranges. It's just not really the same thing.
